Restrained

Tristen 2002 (United States)

Shackles of the mind bind me.
Tight without a gap, her words wound me.
They repeat like a wave of butterflies,
My heart cracks, with their every echo.
I wish to be free of these pains that haunts me.
But unjust torture envelopes me in its grasp.
I wish to escape or to be not.
But my mind tells me it would be for not, and that my pains would still haunt me.
I feel entrapped by her words, and her love that once made me float in the clouds.
I await the day I'm free from this dreadful pain.
But until that day I remain unshackled by my love and broken heart.
