Let peace come

let peace come over my life
let there be calm
so turbulent have these
past days been
i need a calm ocean
to settle things in my life
let you be my saviour
the one who was meant for me
be my salvation in this desert
that is my life
a permanent home, somewhere to
rest my tired head
let me rest on your shoulders
and where your kisses
will wash away everything
that has made
up this troubled life
i just need sanctuary
and protection so
that i can feel
whole again
and in your arms
i will find it...

    Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt poem! The imagery of a calm ocean and the need for sanctuary and protection really resonated with me. Your use of language is very powerful and moving, and I felt like I was transported into the speaker's world.

    One suggestion I might offer to improve the poem is to perhaps consider adding more specific details or personal experiences to make it even more relatable. For example, you could give us a glimpse into what caused the speaker's troubled life in the first place and how they plan to move forward from there with the help of their loved one. Overall, great job and keep writing!
