"Her"

The sunlight had no warmth, no sympathy,
it rattled my bones.
Stepping over dying ambitions and,
stumbling over lifeless stones
The organ thumping in my chest felt foreign
the feeling weird- almost queer
Was this what people felt
when parting from someone so ‘dear’ -?
She had always advised me
to stand tall and be bold.
But here ‘I’ am hunched over, drowning in agony,
stubbornly waiting for her to scold.
She had pulled her hand out of my desperate hold
to finally…finally rest.
Abandoning me! Leaving me!
In this world to solitarily finish this harrowing quest.
Was this what they called distress -?
“No” this was my devotion to ‘her’, I profess!
Without her by my side I felt beat.
Had the hell, upon me, let lose all its heat.
