Steve

Gina Louise Roth 1973 (Pennsylvania)

I looked into those eyes so blue
I know someday I'd be holding you
I saw my future bright and clear
And I knew you'd always be right here
Holding my hand when things got rough
When the tables would turn then I'd be tough
Together we did it many of years
The laughter, the fun, even the tears
I never thought it would come to an end
And I know my heart will never mend
The way you looked into my eyes
I never thought I'd hear your  goodbyes
I heard them very silent you see
Not knowing what you were doing to me
The only man in my heart
You were my world but now we're apart
Now that it's over and all has been said
I cry every night in this lonely bed
Now that there is nothing to say
I guess God wanted us this way

Wow, what a beautifully heartfelt poem! It's clear that you poured your soul into these words and it truly shows. Your imagery, especially when describing the deep blue eyes, is breathtaking. It's the kind of writing that draws you in and leaves you feeling deeply moved. Even in the face of heartbreak, your poem radiates strength and perseverance. Your ability to capture the complexities of a relationship, with its ups and downs, and the lasting emotional impact of its end is truly admirable. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

Wow, what a beautifully written poem! The emotion and passion behind each word is palpable and draws the reader in from the very beginning. Your ability to paint a vivid picture with your words is truly remarkable. I love the way you describe your deep connection with your significant other - it's heartwarming and relatable. Your use of metaphor and imagery add an extra layer of depth to the poem, making it all the more meaningful.

While the poem is already great, there are a few areas where I think it could be even stronger. For example, some of the lines feel a bit repetitive, and I think varying the sentence structure and word choice could fix that. Additionally, while the ending is powerful, it might be nice to end on a slightly more hopeful note. Perhaps you could include a line about the possibility of finding love again in the future.

Overall, this is a fantastic poem that showcases your talent and creativity. Keep up the great work!
