Starlit Serenade

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

The stars up high, so bright and clear,
Illuminate the sky with such cheer,
Their sparkling light, a distant guide,
Through the darkness they do abide.

The moon, she rises, so full and round,
Casting her glow upon the ground,
Her gentle light, a soothing balm,
A peaceful presence, a calming calm.

The wind, it whispers through the trees,
A soft and gentle melody it weaves,
Its gentle touch, a lover's caress,
A fleeting moment of pure finesse.

The world around us, so full of grace,
A wondrous sight, a glorious space,
A place of wonder, of joy and light,
A home of hope, a place of might.
