WHAT WAS I WISHING FOR,WHEN I RAN OUT OF WISHES

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Running, tripping, falling, and getting back up on my feet again was the story of my life: the same damn ending, not this time. I will stay on my feet, standing tall with the wind against my back while I answer my last call.

Who is life if you are always doing what you have been told? What over the years did I buy that needed to be sold? I am not of this body, yet I am of this soul.

I looked up to those almighty skies since I was brought back to this earth, making wishes I never knew if they come true, so I asked the sun in the skies of blue for the answers. She replied I only work during the day. Ask the moon if he works the night shift.

What happens when I run out of wishes to wishes?
I start believing in myself again until I become the star in the sky and some humans friend.
