ADHD (It sucks to be me)

If you ask what most vexes me,
I’d say it’s my ADHD.
For my life is confusion, non-stop aggravation,
and most of all it sucks to be me.

At times my brain’s in stagnation,
sometimes in conflagration.
But there’s never a moment, where I’m not despondent,
I suffer from disintegration.

I often have brief inspiration,
but then it succumbs to oblivion.
And I feel like a tortoise; I’m slow with no purpose,
My brain’s in perpetual perdition.

My mind is chaotic and rocked,
while my brain is as dense as a block.
I have no social cues, and I’m always confused,
why I’m constantly pissed on and mocked.

In my thoughts I’m as slick as a deer,
and my mind is as sharp as a spear.
But when I’m in public, I tend to forget it;
All the coolness and suave disappears.

So you ask why I live in my head,
and why not make real friends instead.
Because people are brutal, society’s infernal;
I’m a moron wherever I tread!

Oh, how I wish I were elsewhere;
just as my mind is everywhere!
On the clouds in the air, or an island so fair;
just take me far away… anywhere!

And how I wish I were alone,
To carve my thoughts into the stone.
Like a monk by the sea, how I long to be free,
from the judgmental pricks back at home.

So you ask what most vexes me,
It’s my fight with ADHD,
Will I find a solution, for life’s aggravations,
so from these chains I can finally break free?
‘Cause right now it sucks to be me,

that’s my war with ADHD…
