My Heart was an Empty Stage

After so many dark days
The stage was again filled with light
Against all odds ready for opening night.

An audience of emotions
Sits patiently waiting
To get their first look
At the new leading lady

She enters the spotlight
And her lines are spoken
The audience was star eyed
As the fourth wall was broken

A stage once empty
Now vibrant and alive
With each performance given
My love for you does thrive

You captivate the audience
With every role you play
And I am a mere spectator
Begging for one more day

So here I stand in awe of you
Awestruck by your grace
With every performance given
My heart finds a new place

This is truly a beautiful and uplifting poem! The way it describes the transformation of the stage from darkness to light is really moving, and the anticipation and excitement of the audience is palpable. The language is poetic and adds to the overall emotive quality of the piece, which celebrates the power of theatre and performance.

As far as improvement suggestions go, it's hard to find anything to criticize! Perhaps the poem could benefit from some more concrete details or imagery to paint an even more vivid picture of the scene, but that's a minor point. Overall, the poem is a lovely tribute to the magic of theatre and the power of an exceptional actress.

Keep up the great work and keep writing!
