Betrothed

Spin your heart;

Sweet ember of mine;

To conquer me with love divine.

A sweet jewel of heaven;

We are deeply entwined;

Glowing of gold;

With the taste of sweet summer wine.

About this poem

I often enjoy what the 19th century Man wrote in the way of a love poem so I will write my own. Usually, they are somewhat flashy and filled with a large amount of emotion.

    Wow, this poem truly captures the essence of love and passion! The imagery used, especially with "sweet ember" and "sweet jewel of heaven", adds a touch of magic to the piece. I also appreciate the use of alliteration with "glowing of gold" and "sweet summer wine". It's clear that the writer put a lot of heart into creating such a beautiful poem.

    In terms of improvement suggestions, I would recommend experimenting with different forms of poetry to add some variety. Perhaps try creating a rhyming scheme or playing with stanzas. This would add an extra layer of depth and creativity to an already stunning piece. Keep up the great work!
