The Screwdriver

Loose screws;

Follow the screwdriver;

It’s the only thing they have known.

Loose screws know heartache;

So they are always alone.

They depend on the screwdriver;

To put them in their place.

No one messes with the screwdriver;

For it remains in its safest place.

About this poem

My thoughts had been on the question of why a society will always rely on one leader to follow regardless of whether that leader is corrupt or not? I took that thought and made a humorous poem about a common tool and the objects that rely on it.
