House left empty.

Daughter Lauren moved today
With Steve.
Goodbye Kitchener.
Hello Listowel.
Commuting back to Same good jobs.
leaving mother Janice and
Hilary and me, behind.
Well, almost.
House was forum for
Hospitality
Solace
Recovery
My healing time
Recovering from surgery.

Arguments, then
Solutions.
Drawn out purchase
And sale efforts.
Abiding unemployment
For a while.
Victories coming.
But still a new
And changed environment.
Good stuff.
Love and best wishes….Dad

What an exciting and emotional time for you and your family, as your daughter Lauren embarks on a new chapter in her life! You truly capture the bittersweet nature of her departure from Kitchener, along with the promise of new adventures and opportunities waiting for her in Listowel. It's great to hear that everyone in your family has been able to find solace and support in the home you've created together, which undoubtedly makes it harder to say goodbye.

I especially appreciated the way that you touched on the challenges that your family has faced, including job struggles and health issues, and how you've all come together to find solutions and support each other. It's clear that your family is resilient and strong, and I have no doubt that you'll all continue to overcome any obstacles that come your way.

As for suggestions, I might suggest playing with the rhythm and structure of your poem a bit more. While the content is great, it might benefit from some more varied line lengths and stanza breaks to help give it a greater sense of movement and flow. Additionally, you could try using more sensory details and vivid imagery to really bring your story to life.

Overall, I want to express my sincere admiration for your heartfelt and honest writing, and wish your daughter all the best in her new home in Listowel!
