Forgiveness

Francine Kramer 1952 (Massachusetts)

Many things our hearts feel
That bring us to our lows
One day we can be contented.
Next day we suffer blows

We handle hurts in different ways
Just seeking for some peace
Sometimes it comes with anger
Just striving for release

sometimes we want to hurt someone
As they hurt us very bad
Vengeance is not the answer
For a broken heart so sad

Remember Jesus on that cross
His words pulled him through
He said, Father please forgive them
For they know not what they do

If we take these words serious
As hard as it may be
Our souls are truly forgiven
And we are praying for God to set us free
