Suppressed

Suppressed emotions
Unspoken words
Unexplained circumstances
Undefined purpose
Wounded, shattered our egos.

Bottled-up feelings
Unidentified wants and needs
Unexpressed thoughts
Unproclaimed deep affection
Injured, battered our innocent souls.

Suppressed emotions should be freed,
For new and fresh ones to fount.
Whether we acknowledge it or not,
We are at fault, especially you,
You’re the man.
We both needed help.
The culture that we were in barricaded our sense of freedom.
We let that to happen.
Nobody fought against it.
We never stood up for the sake of love.

Life is momentary.
We should still saturate it with love.
It may be a challenge to utter it distinctly.
We may lose each other again.
It’s enough that we know what we dearly had or still have,
It may not have been the right time,
It may never be.
But, it’s not too late to make things right.
It may not be what we wanted it to be,
At least we know, our love will still be splendid-
Unfathomably,
Immeasurably,
Worth-sharing,
Worth-reminiscing.

About this poem

Sometimes, we have difficulty expressing our thoughts, emotions in words, therefore, we'd rather not say anything because we either don't want to hurt the other person, or we never wanted to be misunderstood. If a person truly loves you, he or she will always understand how you feel. Just say it. Communication is very important.
