As I begin to unfurl the pages of my book, I feel a weight lifting off my shoulders, as if the words written within have the power to ease the burdens of the world. Don't scrutinize me, for I am not just a woman with a story to tell; I am an ocean of emotions, a symphony of thoughts, a universe of dreams waiting to be explored. As you dive deeper into the pages, listen to the rhythm of my heart, for it's the beat that drives me forward. Maybe you'll discover who I truly am, the struggles I've faced, the victories I've won, the lessons I've learned.

The Last Poem

I want to pen my last poem for you
I want to stop, for this, I know.
Release my tangled heart and start anew
But, the pen won’t let me, let me try again...

Bared My Soul

In a world of endless whispers, I found solace in our bond,
Opened up my heart and soul, the stories I had never told.

With trembling words, I bared my truths, a vulnerable display,
And as I spoke, unseen, I felt your heart's beats.

Your...

Camouflage

In the eyes of this cruel world, I am living the dream,
A life that’s picture-perfect, or so it seems
But little did they know, I bear a handful sorrow and pain
A hidden torment, an internal storm I cannot erase.

With a dazzling smile...

Fragile Glass

In the depths of my heart, a flame burns bright,

A love that, against all odds, holds tight.
For I find myself caught in a bittersweet dance,
A melancholic melody, an unbreakable trance.

With every passing moment, I try to move on,
But my...

Releasing Chains

Since you keep pushing me away,
I'll no longer try to make you stay.
This journey, once filled with hope and zest,
Now comes to an end, for it's for the best.

No longer will I hold you in my heart,
For your absence has torn our love apart.

“But sing us lots more new songs from the soul so pure.” -I just sang one of her songs today in Karaoke, Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, same. I haven’t been getting notifications for the people I follow. Not sure why. I didn’t turn it off.

Anyways, that’s my story, that’s why I had to pause from teaching full-time. I am in a much better state now.

Hope you are doing well, my friend. Big hugs to you as well

Coming from a pro, your comment means a lot.
It was just random, with no revisions at all.

Ahhh my friend! I’m surprised you remember “A Note To Self” poem. I wasn’t even thinking about that. But, thank you for the reminder. My empathetic and forgiving heart still hopes for a better ending, but you’re right, we are missing out on an opportunity to enjoy the present if we keep thinking about the past. I wish you were here with me and just pinch or even slap me in the face
