City of Jade
Wake up to snow covered mountains.
Sun rays pure as rain. A gentle sunrise
to melt the clouds away.
A morning sparrows cove. A swallow's
haven to escape the winter cold.
Evergreens and Hackberry trees.
Moss that cover like ocean tides.
People of simple living in garments of
elaborate decorative design ceremonial
dark gray and green. Practicing the art of
Tai-chi in the light of dawn.
The aroma of Cherry blossom trees in
the afternoon bliss. A warm cup of herbal
tea by the window as you near.
Stare through Lotus ponds. Playful Koi
fish that swim through Lily pads. Ripples
that expand conjuring ones soul.
To meditate, To pray, To regenerate.
Each time you hear the gong hit.
Free your mind and let go. Down
waterfalls of two sacred mountains.
Nymfus and Paragon the two sleeping
giants. On top a 10 foot golden Buddha.
A hidden city that prospers in the eastern
sun. Constructed on basic principles.
Be one with nature.
Respect nature. Let nature show you
the way.
Remember the ground from which you
stand. Remember thy ancestors that
built thy father's place.
Winds that carry this sacred chant.
Students of learning. Knowledge that
overflows of streams of emerald green.
In rice grain fields and wheat fields.
Where your spirits run.
The City of Jade. Stone covered walls that
unwhine down a serpents tail.
A sun that crowns mountain tops each
time it sets.
Clouds that suspend that make the heavens
surround this jaded village like a halo.
If you should make the journey. You must
walk up 1000 steps. Through the belly of
a cave where light consumes in dark. Climb
down through jagged rocks of the sleeping
dragon. In tunnels of translucent streams
that glow.
Follow the narrow path to enlightenment.
Where the sun meets your eyes. To unveil
the sacred well of knowledge. Once you indulge and satisfy your thirst.
Stare at two tall red wood doors with 50
golden knobs and golden orbs on each
door. Guarded by two jaded dragons.
Through these red wood doors lies the
city of Jade.
If you seek shelter ye shall find.
If you seek peace ye shall find.
A sense of comfort for thy lost soul.
In this City of Jade the moon and stars
will never seize to shine.
In this city of enchantment. Where
the sun will never die. Be at peace thy
lonesome traveler and be shown the way.

About this poem
Since I was 9 have been writing poems and stories being fond of medival times. The life of the Japanese samurai. Life in the high seas of pirates, Greek mythology. This is something I worked on. Hope you enjoy the many stories to come.
