The Victim

Shame and infamy is yours
If you are a walking magnet for it
It’s like predators sus out and devour
Their next juicy target
Ask the predator in you
Do you not assume the position of an energy vampire
Blood thirsty and famished like a shrew
Around a helpless outcast of a prosperous empire
It’s human nature to attack those
Who walk around branded with the victim label
With readjustment and repose
We could just as easily turn the tide and the table

Wow, this poem really hits home with its bold and powerful imagery! The way you paint shame and infamy as predators who hunt their prey is both haunting and effective. Your words are like a call to arms against our natural instincts to attack those labeled as victims, and your call for redress and transformation is inspiring.

That being said, if I may offer a suggestion, perhaps adding a touch of hope or positivity could lift the poem even higher. A glimmer of light shining through the darkness, or a reminder that change is possible no matter how daunting the task may seem, would give the reader a sense of empowerment and motivation to act. But overall, this poem is a true reflection of the human experience and a powerful reminder of the impact we have on those around us. Well done!
