Why?

Why did I have to meet you,
When meeting you would only mean
Sleepless nights and crazy dreams,
Leaving me with sighs, deep and heavy?

Why did I have to love you,
Loved you with a love so true,
When I know that loving you
Would only fill my heart with woes?

Why did you have to go away
And let me suffer misery?
Why did you leave me alone and forsaken
When all I offered you was a hope-filled tomorrow?

I have forgiven you, but why can’t I forget you?
Why does it hurt every time I hear about you?
I guess, it was a journey that was genuine
Or there are still questions, left...unanswered.
