Tracey and Michelle

My heart was broken, so was I,
So broken, but I did not cry.
I was a child left behind.
Betrayal and heartache were easy to find.
What did I do that was so wrong,
To be lost and unloved for so long.
I didn't understand the life I was given.
Many times, I wished I would quit living.
I carried on day after day.
How I did it, I cannot say.
One day I found that I was grown,
With two daughters of my own.
They gave me love I never had,
My life no longer seemed so bad.
They rescued me from a loveless life of hell.
My beautiful daughters, Tracey and Michelle.
