Snowbind

The mind has been abustle;
set abound, spun around,
wracked with incessant sound.
Wishes not to retread thought,
again drains in spiraled funnel.

Snowblind to all but one dot;
it draws the eyes, it thaws the ice,
binds the senses, as roots to ground.
Passage to wits lost ever sought;
within clamored tunnel.

About this poem

Written on a visit to my hometown, which was cold and storming at the time. It is meant to illustrate unpleasant thoughts and memories that can hold more precedence in our minds then we'd like.
