idyllic prospects

vigorous forces
will knock you down, and
rigorous sources
will mock your ground,

but the golden hour,
emboldens your power,
your imminent duty and
omnipotent beauty can
actually drive you
and that crude reality
chose to revive you
from accrued, self-misery
and you know it’s time to,
reclaim the world as new

idyllic prospects
must earn your respect
and swear to protect
your deepest secrets

if you start to regress,
just process your progress,
the journey’s no recess,
but bright lights will floresce

auspicious voices
increase in sound, and
ambitious choices
keep you around

you’ve drowned out the sour,
you sprout like a flower,
you represent blooming strands
of radiant, booming plans
you swiftly climb to,
the imbued lucidity
and it degrimes you
of your feud with sanity
and you know it’s time to,
inflame the vibrant view

idyllic prospects
must earn your respect
and swear to protect
your deepest secrets

if you fall to pieces,
they’ll be there to clean it,
swear an oath and mean it,
despite all your demons

when the path of
hope and wrath comes
to a crossroads
you can toss loads
of your depiction
of pure affliction,
and the sensation
you feel
of liberation
is real

idyllic prospects
must earn your respect
and swear to protect
your deepest secrets

if you start to regress,
just process your progress,
the journey’s no recess,
but bright lights will floresce

idyllic prospects
must earn your respect
and swear to protect
your deepest secrets

if you fall to pieces,
they’ll be there to clean it,
swear an oath and mean it,
despite all your demons.

About this poem

I wrote this about the special entities in the world (people, animals, objects, nature, etc) and how important it is to hold onto and appreciate those entities.
