Dear sorrow

oh sorrow it’s been so long.
 Where are you?
the only one I could count on,
I’m lost and emotionless since you left,
Tears and headaches no more,
like a pumpkin carved,  hollow with a smile, my flames have extinguished,
only emptiness resides inside,
no passion for art, no love left to give.
sorrow I beg, let me feel once more.
 Haven’t you had your fun?
 I suffer with you,
yet without,
 I’m alone and cold,
left to sleep the day away without a tear,
just a pain.
I know I prayed you away,
that was when I was strong dear sorrow,
 I’m not strong anymore,
am I no longer worth your time?
This life began to beat me near death,
and you left me numb.
I’m not one to beg but please,
dear sorrow.
Don’t let me die,
 without you.

About this poem

I used to always write, about my pain. My sorrows. So much so that it became who I was, and tho this world never stopped trying to break me, at somepoint the sorrow left. And as much as I hated it. I miss the feeling… of feeling.
