"Our" Spot

You wallow and cry.
I sit ideally by,
While you suffer inside

The rain drops from the sky
To wish you good night.
I do the same but from far away,
Hoping one day you'll hear
The things I have to say

I look upon you from a distance.
you turn,
and face me
showing me that you're ready to listen.
I'm captivated and yearning for that instance.

You're drawn out in my mind.
Every detail of every fine line.
I'm wishing for you to understand
That I'm ready for you to be mine
No matter how much you cry
You have never left my mind
Even on the day I knew you would never be mine.

You still wallow and cry.
While I sit on the sidelines.
for I can never take the place,
where you suffered for all that time.
I look at the sky and understand why.

About this poem

This poem was a forgotten work I did for a coworker of mine that I happen to never give to them. This is not from personal experience, just a dream I had about a shy boy and a girl that needed him.
