Go Through Samaria

The prudent man knows when to stop.
He takes his time and moves.
He presses onward toward the top.
His love he always proves!

He enters through the narrow gate.
So, he will want no more.
He doesn’t believe in chance or fate.
He knows his election is sure!

All around him people scoff.
They wander in dismay.
The world they see, they can’t get off.
They won’t stand in his way!

He always comes back to God his Father.
For him there is no other.
He won’t put his trust in deceitful men.
He can’t even trust his brother!

The world was never worthy of him.
They said he was no prophet.
They continued to workout in their gyms.
As for sin; they refused to stop it!

How great the Father’s love for him?
As he tries to walk in obedience.
The world wants everything here and now.
But His justice is expedient!
