Approaching Hoofbeats, carrying hope

He is coming
Heard that promise
For the Day
Oppressions cease.
Gone the thievery
And the cruel lies.
And the Guilt
In sin’s release.
But the centuries
Have elapsed some
And the verses of Holy Writ
Now are tested
By the Front Page.
Can we really
Hold onto it?
Faith is given
Never mustered
By the grim resolve
Of will.
He is coming
Our Great Champion.
Yes the fact shines
Brightly still.
