Lessened

A little lessened here.

The times and seasons shared

The walks together

Minding weather

Words of wisdom heard.

She slowly drifted far

But distant memories held

The limbs would fail

The eyes would dull.

Still inner joys had thrilled.

...A little lessened ours

But she no loss would feel

One seamless moment

Sleeping, gone.

But yonder hers so real.

The loved ones faithful, firm

With all the sighing past

Embrace another

Yes, my Mother

And treasures years amassed.
