Sonnet III

I heard a sacred song from on the stage,
With ears touched by the majestic Divine.
What melody was scribed to my heart’s page?
What blessedness did make my soul to pine?

Her precious name is Jacqueline Marie,
Whose light did brighten even mine own gloom.
One aria from this elect lady,
Was gifted unto the entire room.

She seemed to float like one walking-on-air,
In truth, a sheer spectacle-to-behold.
Now I am happy for the lovely pair!
A man doth keep her heart, or so I’m told.

Alas, as for the one who is her beau:
Solemn well-wishes to thee, we bestow.
