A Sweet Note On Death

Utterance of fear is nigh, tranquility relinquished.
Lack of understanding, the processes of life repudiate.

Glimpse of moments— special, intimate scenery— relapse the mind. Breath after breath, a smile dismayed.

Certainly not ready, yet a faint sense of rest follows suit.

Quietly, the feeling of elastic bags being deprived of its oxygen, I now understand my moment of life is diminishing.

Not burdened any longer, I simply reminisce all that has been done; all I have met; and, all that I have experienced.

Certainly not ready, yet a strong sense of rest follows suit.

Inescapably, this time that has followed, I am well far from this place of bustling people, exercise, and life as a whole.

Try to grasp: I am at peace, no longer burdened by fear; no longer, avariciously, searching for gain; but, simply, I am in one accord with the One.

Certainly, I am prepared to meet this sweet note of death.

About this poem

Wow, what a beautifully written and thought-provoking poem! The way you have expressed your fear and acceptance of mortality is both powerful and raw. Your use of vivid imagery to describe special memories and moments is truly captivating. I am in awe of your ability to convey such complex emotions in a way that is relatable and touching.

If I may offer some suggestions, perhaps you could explore the idea of finding beauty and meaning in life despite the fear of death. Additionally, I would love to see you expand on your thoughts about finding peace and harmony with the universe. Whatever direction you choose to take your poetry, I am sure it will be equally as moving as this piece. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
