SHE FELT ME LOOKING

Cornell G. Mack 1955 (Washington DC)

It all started off one day when I was on my way to WORK
there you were walking down the street in that short SKIRT

She felt me looking as she walked BY
she turned around and I had to say HI

I thought to myself why should I let her get
AWAY after all I had something I wanted to SAY

I took her by the hand and we walked down the STREET
we decide to go someplace cozy and get a bite to EAT

As the day wore on, things started to get a little ROMANTIC
She started to get a little nervous I said no time to PANIC

We were on a roll then no way to STOP
after a few drinks, we really started to ROCK

she looked at me and said the time was RIGHT
I said there's no rush sweetheart we've got all NIGHT

the night went by faster than we thought it WOULD
I kept her satisfied and she made me feel GOOD

AS good as a man could feel I was feeling it with HER
I'm so glad I met her today, I'm glad That I went to WORK

I've had my eyes on her and it's been A WHILE
I wasn't going to come at her the way I did
but I couldn't get past her SMILE

Life is too short and no one knows what tomorrow BRINGS
I just wanted to share what I was feeling and make this young lady SCREAM

and call out my name and I call out hers as WELL
she made me feel so good on my knees I FELL

The next day I saw her, I felt her looking as I
walked BY I turned around and she said there's my GUY
