Ode to our Heartstrings Across the Miles : The Eternal Bond of Love and Memory

Mawphniang Napoleon 1993 (Ri Bhoi)

Ode

Oh dear friends and cherished kin so far,
Though distance and the busy hours do say
That we shall never be together near,
Yet still within my heart you'll always stay.

I cannot see your faces day by day,
Or hear the laughter of your sweet embrace,
And though the miles and time may come between,
I know that in my soul you've left a trace.

For you are part of all that I've been through,
Of memories and moments I hold dear,
And even though the years may come and go,
Your laughter and your love will always clear.

And should we meet again, I might be lost,
In worlds of dreams and visions, unaware,
But still, my heart will know, as it is tossed,
That you are here, and that I must be fair.

So raise your hands, and give a little wave,
And know that though we are so far apart,
You are forever in my heart, my friends,
And though we may be distant by the sands,

Our love and bond will never be undo,
For you, my friends, are always by my side,
A treasure to my heart, so true and bright,
That will shine forever, never to hide.

So here's an ode to all my friends and kin,
So far away, yet always near within,
A love that spans the distance of time and space,
A bond that cannot be erased by any trace.

And though the days may come and go so fast,
And all the changes in our lives take place,
I promise to remember all that's past,
And keep you close, no matter how the race.

For you are precious to me, every one,
A part of who I am, and who I've been,
And though I may not always be around,
I'll hold you close, and never let you in.

And so, my friends, I'll close my eyes tonight,
And send my love across the miles so wide,
A little prayer for each of you so dear,
A hope that we'll be together soon, I swear.

And when we do, I'll wrap you in a hug,
And laugh and smile, and talk of days gone by,
And though our faces may have aged and changed,
Our love and bond will never, ever die.

So here's to all my friends and family far,
A love that knows no bounds, no space or time,
A bond that's woven in my heart so tight,
A treasure that I'll always keep in sight.

And though the years may come and go so fast,
And life may take us down some winding roads,
I'll always hold you close, and make it last,
For you, my friends, are always in my soul.

And though we may not see each other's face,
Our hearts will always find a way to meet,
A connection that's so strong and true,
A bond that's rooted deep and ever sweet.

So here's to all my friends and family far,
A love that spans the distance and the years,
A bond that's unbreakable, a shining star,
A treasure that I hold so very dear.

And when the time is right, we'll come together,
And all the memories will come to life,
We'll laugh and sing, and talk of all that's been,
And cherish all the moments that we find.

And though we may not recognize each other,
Or be lost in our own world of imagination,
Our love will always be a shining light,
A beacon that will guide us to our destination.

So here's to all my friends and family far,
A love that knows no bounds, no space or time,
A bond that's woven in my heart so tight,
A treasure that I'll always keep in sight.
