I thought we were friends.
We knew each other for so long but at the same time, we barely knew each other.
You could have known what I like and what I dislike.
But no.
You don’t know me and I don’t know you.
You don’t know that trust meant so much to me in friendship.
Because I could no longer trust you, our friendship has come to an end.
Not only, you went behind my back and talked about me with other friends of ours.
But you have been a stumbling block between me and someone I have feelings for.
For what? It was for your benefits because you want me to be with your son.
That is selfish. All you care about is your benefits, yourself and your family.
Is this what friendship is all about?
This is not my kind of friendship.

From these days forward, I will choose who are my friends and you are not one of them.
I’m sorry but you are not my friend anymore, at the same time I’m not sorry.
Why? Because we were never friends.
All that was is an illusion. It was all about what you could get from me, get yourself credits, just to make yourself look good.
All that passed moments become a history now of your pretensions to be my friends.

You want to consider yourself as my friend, my teacher and my family?
I don’t think so. If you could not even be my friend, how could you be my teacher or my family?
At the end of the day, you're just someone that I used to know.
That is our relationship status from now on.

I no longer want your hug.
I no longer want your sweet talk.
I no longer want your pretensions.
I no longer want your friendships.
I no longer want to have anything to do with you.
I don’t need you.
Está la vista.

Too bad it has to end up like this. I never thought I would end this friendship this way.
I gave you time to redeem yourself. I have been waiting for you to apologize so I could forgive you and give you another chance.
But you take no notice.
Knowing that you did me wrong but you weren't brave enough to admit and apologize to me, makes me realize I have made the right decisions to disconnect you.
Looking back at your personality, the ways you did things and how you made your decision, those don't fit in my friend category. I don’t have a friend like you and just so you know I still have friends even though I don’t have you.

About this poem

This poem is about my friendship with one of my so called “friend”. She used to be my friend but as of right now, she just someone I used to know. I wrote this poem and posted in public not to make her look bad or dedicated this poem to her. But to declare that our friendship have come to an end and I am ready to move on.
