Wise Men Say

Free verse
Wise men say that love is but a fire,
That burns the heart, a never-ending tire.
It makes us weak, and it makes us strong,
And it leads us to where we truly belong.
But I say, let us not be afraid of love,
For it is the light that guides us from above,
It makes our hearts sing and our souls soar,
And forevermore, it will be our eternal lure.
It is the bond that ties us to the divine,
And it is the feeling that makes life worth living.
