A New Light

Like stars at night
My heart comes alive
Every time i see you
Especially when you’re by my side
Our souls may align
We will know in time
But for now we can only read the signs
A wondrous surprise
How you entered my mind
Changed my thoughts into
“He needs to be mine”
I must’ve drank a glass of summer wine
Cuz all of the sudden you were looking fine
2 as 1 is a different kind of light
A kind that shines the most bright
Plethoras of color but still white
It’s becoming a rarer sight
Plenty seek to find
Most are too blind
Stuck in a bind
That isn’t so kind
They’ve tried and tried
But can’t perceive the shine.
