The True Cost of Action: The Expensive Price of Making History
In ancient tome, 'tis writ that demand and supply
Are but mere metaphors for life's grand game,
Where talk is cheap, a waste of precious time,
And only weaklings seek to speak in rhyme,
For 'tis the strong who take action, rare and expensive,
Whose deeds, not words, shall make history expansive.
Expensive is the cost of true action,
For 'tis the strong who bear the weight of demand,
And rise above the fray, with grace expansive,
Leaving the weak to talk in cheap, wasted rhyme,
For time is precious and cannot be regained,
And true strength lies in deeds, not hollow game.
The game of life is not for weak to play,
For 'tis the strong who make the rules expensive,
And those who talk, but do not act, in time
Shall find themselves in direst need of demand,
For only those who take action, rare and grand,
Shall truly make their mark, and leave a lasting rhyme.
But what is rhyme, but cheap and meaningless talk,
That serves no purpose in the grand game of life,
For 'tis the strong who take the reins, and make expensive
Their mark upon the world, with action grand,
And leave behind a legacy of demand,
That time shall never fade, nor age, nor rhyme.
And though time may pass, and talk may be cheap,
The strong shall always be in high demand,
For 'tis the rare and expensive action
That makes them great, and leaves a lasting rhyme
In history's grand game, where only the strong survive,
And weak are left to talk, in vain, in time.
So let us not be cheap in talk and rhyme,
But take the reins, and make our mark, in time,
For 'tis the strong who make history grand,
And leave a legacy of expensive action,
That shall forever be in high demand,
In life's grand game, where only the strong survive.
About this poem
The poem uses the metaphor of economics to explore the concept of strength and weakness in life. The poem argues that talk is cheap and a waste of precious time, and only the weak seek to speak in rhyme. On the other hand, the strong take action, which is rare and expensive. The poem suggests that true strength lies in deeds, not words, and those who take action will make history expansive. The poem also highlights the idea that the game of life is not for the weak to play and that the strong make the rules, which are expensive. In addition, the poem states that only those who take action, rare and grand, shall truly make their mark and leave a lasting rhyme in history. The poem concludes by encouraging the reader to take action and make their mark in time, for it is the strong who make history grand and leave a legacy of expensive action that will be in high demand. more »
