Echoes of Valor: Remembering Jallianwala Bagh

In the land of Punjab, a massacre occurred,
Where innocent lives were taken with great haste,
The Jallianwala Bagh, a symbol blurred,
Of brutal tyranny and English waste.

A gathering of peaceful souls, so proud,
With hopes and dreams of a brighter tomorrow,
But alas, their fate was dark and loud,
Their lives taken, leaving them with no more.

The general, Reginald Dyer, so bold,
Commanded his soldiers to fire their guns,
And as the bullets rained, the story told,
Of innocent blood, spilling on the lawns.

The massacre shook the nation to the core,
With cries for freedom echoing once more.

The legacy of Jallianwala Bagh,
Lies not just in the blood and tears shed,
But in the courage of those who fought back,
And stood their ground, even when they were dead.

A symbol of resistance and of power,
A rallying cry for India’s finest hour.

The massacre is now a distant past,
But the memory remains ever so strong,
A reminder of the deeds that did not last,
And of the people who suffered all along.

The Jallianwala Bagh will always be,
A symbol of the power of the free.

The bravery of those who fought that day,
Shall never be forgotten in time,
For they died for a cause, without delay,
And their spirits will always rhyme.

The massacre was a tragedy,
But it’s legacy lives on for all to see.

The blood of the fallen will not be in vain,
For the massacre was a turning point,
The Indian people rose to break the chain,
And fought for their freedom, with a shout.

The massacre was a tragedy,
But it’s legacy lives on for all to see.

In memory of those who died that day,
We must remember the past and the pain,
And strive for a better future, in every way,
For their spirits will always remain.

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre,
Shall forever be a tale of bravery.

Let this sonnet be,
A testament to the bravery of those,
Who died for their cause, with dignity,
And let their spirits, forever rose.

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre,
Shall always be a symbol of hope,
For future generations to embrace,
And strive for freedom, with all their might and scope.
