PERFECTION IS NOT EVERYTHING

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

As I look at your pale face
I can not help to wonder where your attention lays
on the other side, I hear you say what can you want from me when you already have everything?

I have no love, so love can not be lost
I keep my crooked finger crossed, I wrap my arms around you, I am waiting for your luscious kiss that taste like gothic clove cigarettes instead I get a smack upside my aching mind. I ask you what the hell was that for? you say that it is for every time that you leave me wanting more of your poetic rhymes.

She says you know I can see myself falling hopelessly in love with you and if I could not, I would not want to wake up from this perfect night's sleep. you look so beautiful lying there like a child with his teddy bear.

Why can I not find myself falling in love with you?
your morals are so damn high she says and she knows that in my friendly skies, she is unable to comfortably fly. she asks why do you find the need to be so damn picture perfect, why do I have to be so terribly wrong? I reply your like a porcelain doll and perfection is not everything
