Enslaved by the serpent.
Addicted to sin.
We look in the mirror.
But never within.

By the time that we realize.
The locks on the gate.
Our fate will be sealed.

Our minds always focused.
On that which ain't real.
What good are these tears.
If we cannot feel.

Hypnotized by the darkness.
Where the light has turned black.
By the forces of evil.
Where demons attack.

We laid all the blocks.
And bars in our cells.
Not knowing we built.
All our own hells.

We blame one another.
It's never our fault.
Then take all the credit.
For others at fault.

Mentally programmed.
By he who deceives.
The truth is unknown.
By the lies we believe.

Each day that we live.
We leave in the past.
Step into the future.
Where dreams do not last.

Keep your minds open.
