Web Buddies, Worlds Apart.

Douglas Blair 1951 (London)

Web friend for decades
She lives in Australia.
I in Ontario, hemispheres
Apart.
Poets of faith stuff
Who see the affinity.
Back and forth postings.
Some happy, some rough.
We see the Web
As a mighty Connector.
Interests in common
Not harmed
By the miles.
Rhyming, rehearsing
The grand truths of Jesus.
Touching the questioners
Bringing them smiles.
Lately she tells me
Her husband, a doubter.
Spiritually speaking.
They’re distant by miles.
Oh how so often
I see the sad discord.
One touched by Grace
And the other still cold.
Prayers lifted up
And dear hopes for
A joining.
Age-old contention.
So subtle, so bold.
