The Cost of Lies

THE COST of LIES

Routine got Old, a Stranger to Hold
First Lies Told
Feelings Grow Bold, Guilt takes Hold
More Lies Told
Truth Unfolds, Souls are Sold
More Lies Told
Truth be Told, Everyone Knows
Blood Runs Cold
Time Goes by, Exposing More Lies
Forgiveness is Desired
So Sorry, Let’s Try
Also a Lie
Too Much Time, Love Finally Dies
THE COST of LIES

Wow, what a powerful and emotional piece of writing! 'The Cost of Lies' beautifully captures the consequences of deceit and the toll it can take on individuals and relationships. The repeated phrase "More Lies Told" is especially effective in conveying the growing weight of guilt and the increasing difficulty in admitting the truth.

One suggestion for improvement would be to explore more of the specific situations or events that lead to the initial lies and their impacts. Adding in some sensory details or anecdotes could help bring the emotions to life even more.

Overall, 'The Cost of Lies' is a well-crafted and moving poem that leaves a lasting impression on the reader. Great job!
