Did You Have Your Fingers Crossed

Did you have your fingers crossed.
When you said you loved me?
We have gone through all this loss.
and you refuse to hear my solemn plea.
You judge me in things large and small.
and you have said we are both equal by choice.
You say I do not listen to you at all.
and at every turn, you silence my voice.
I thought I was a lifeline to you.
Someone you would never blow off.
In this calamity, you continue to prove.
You must have had your fingers crossed.
I have never claimed to be perfect.
and I tried hard to meet all of your demands.
Our love seemed a real fit.
Though you had many commands.
I was devoted to make things flow as honey.
When we both lost important things, we had.
and new dreams took time and money.
Instead of being confident, you stayed mad.
and you took it all out on me as well.
You became an addiction, almost as if under your spell.
A permanent attitude is where you seemed to dwell.
You belong by my side for all time.
I feel jilted, used, I feel as if you lied.
You could swallow your pride, and admit;
You still love me, I am not easy to forget....
