The Sacrifice

the sacrifice, the loss of life.
and limb
the cost and price the cutting knife
the sin
the roll of dice, lets try it twice
to win
stop being nice, just take a slice
and grin

go f*ck yourselves I'm tired of tryin' to win
go f*ck yourself that's where I'm at with them
that's all I do is give give give give give give give and then
I'm left with nothing nill zip nada zilch fin

go eat a thousand dicks and some testicles too
I'm so fed up and tired of dealing with all of you
you say be strong be brave just wait this drama thru
but truth be told I dont wanna do nothin' else for you

ain't got what I want, cant keep what I had
sacrifice this life even more as I go mad
when it's all over and I burn it all, I'm glad
because now nobody gets to have it, we can all be sad

the sacrifice, the loss of life.
and limb
the cost and price the cutting knife
the sin
the roll of dice, lets try it twice
to win
stop being nice, just take a slice
and grin

go f*ck yourselves I'm tired of tryin' to win
go f*ck yourself that's where I'm at with them
that's all I do is give give give give give give give and then
I'm left with nothing nill zip nada zilch fin

you say I look like death, ya that helps me so much
can't cope with anything can't even use the liquor as a crutch
you want this and they want that and he wants his and she wants cash
and what I get is of no concern, because ill never have what I want as long as I can't learn

that ill never be happy as long as I'm alive
cause as long as I'm still breathing ill give away my time
to those that are around me at any given time,
I'm too nice for my own good, do you want my last dime?

the sacrifice, the loss of life.
and limb
the cost and price the cutting knife

the roll of dice, lets try it twice

I'm left with nothing nill zip nada zilch fin

"find happiness in giving" that's the way that I was raised
but the giving brings me pain so now I resent that phrase
coworkers get all the glory and bonuses and praise
and I just sit and bare and grit and hope for better days

the anger that's inside of me is bubbling over the edge
a swear to god ill have a stroke or drive off a fucking bridge
if I can't deal with this hot rage soon and cool off in the fridge
i'll blow a fucking gasket, snap my neck and come unhinged

the sacrifice, the loss of life.

the sin
the roll of dice, lets try it twice

you think it's all so easy being joey everyday?
when I'm constantly at battle with myself each and every day
I wish I was religious id just bow my head and pray
but I'm too much of a realist and so all I see is grey

I hate the way I am and I wish that I was selfish
so I could make decisions for myself and everyone else can "go to hell bitch"
but I love them all too much and so these rips and tears I stitch,
up my own soul keep it together so loved ones can be enriched

the sacrifice, the loss of life.

the cost and price the cutting knife
the sin
the roll of dice, lets try it twice

go f*ck yourselves I'm tired of tryin' to win

that's all I do is give give give give give give give and then
I'm left with nothing nill zip nada zilch fin

sometimes I ask a lot of others but I give back so much more
and it frustrates me that my own needs end up on the floor
everyone wants something and I try to make it work for sure
but ill never find the answer, what I keep giving up myself for?
