Pindrop circle

Riaan Smit 1988 (Windhoek)

Come with me on a  journey through time
We’ll seek the stones that weigh on your mind
We’ll take a walk through the darkest of night
And see what goes on down there

There’s a pin drop circle and a didgeridoo
A small scented candle and a missing shoe
A kaleidoscope vision and a worn out jaw
And a strange old man who keeps asking for more

So I pick up the pin ad I lay it in my hand
And I smell the candle as it dies in the sand
I’ll take my time to appreciate the view
And now seeing the light for the very first time
I’ll throw those stones weighing on my mind
And I realised it was my missing shoe

We commenced in the manners of the noblest of blood
As we engaged into the wine
As engaged in light hearted conversations
It so happened they’d poisoned mine
