What Right to Life

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

The cost of living is going up
The cost of life is not
When you put yourself in the place of God
Then all your riches rot

You may own the world and everything in it
But soon you’ll have to pay
For the life you’ve lived and the way you’ve lived it
Let’s call that time today

Do you think you’ve gotten away with your sin?
Or that the Lord doesn’t see
Its all written down in the books he keeps
So how can you get away free?

Your transgressions are as many as the steps you have taken
When you’re not with the Lord, you’re alone
Though you think you’re not bad and you should go to heaven
Yet heaven was never your home

Life is a journey we all must take
If you neglect to do your duty
Then why do you think you’ll get to go home?
To see His glory and beauty
