Dove a-mourning

Douglas Blair 1951 (London)

Something soothing in

The coo and the ploof.

His song of lamenting

Right up on your roof.

He seems to know trials

But flies up above.

His nearness a comfort.

His empathy we love.

About this poem

Such a buddy. Not usually in the snows.
