Wilson Over the Fence

Here is this guy and he lives close by

 And he offers me all of his tools

 And he listens so well

 To the stories I tell

 And the times when

 Despondency rules.

 Yes this friend really cares

 And he proves he’ll be there

 With a word steeped in

 Gospel delight

 Or some common sense stuff

 Proving more than enough

 To dispel all my worrisome “night”.

 What a treat just to know

 That he cares for me so

 As he shows me to victory’s peak.

 Lord make me like him

 When another’s hopes dim

 That we both for your Spirit might seek.
