Eyes Like Flies

Eyes like flies,
Hovering, defecating where they land,
The unwanted glance,
The undesirable stare,
Returned with the same refuted look.
Attracted by the paradox of beauty and disgust.
Then shooed and swatted,
Keep me from this undesirable nuisance.
The hunt for the pest ensues,
The aggravated assailant, seeking to rid himself of his plague.
No where safe to hide but the tint of glass.
The spy in the shadows, peering where he may so choose.
His habitat where he is at home.
Untouchable, unreachable,
Until the next reason arises for the eyes must become flies.

About this poem

I wrote this poem in the summer of 2010, I had thought about going back and adding more, but I liked the way it turned out.
