Stories

A blank page fills with inspirational phrases,
Timeless accounts from years past,
Many a thought diverse and different,
Release from the mind like a tidal wave,
Devastating the land that is understanding,
Going beyond the norm, Becoming something unique and new,
Unexplained tales from lands far and wide,
Unwritten ones are made to hide,
Passed down during many generations,
From around a campfire, a flashlight, maybe even through a paperbound book,
Chronicles about heroes and villains,
Brave men and women,
Malicious, wicked, and dastardly people,
Vengeful desires and honorable justices collide,
Creating a force of imagination to take you to foreign lands,
Expanding horizon after horizon,
Creating a place of wonder,
After the thought, the battle, dialogue, the adventure, the journey, the creative sense of awe and wonder,
It ends,
And all that exists now,
Is the back of a book,
That birthed from a blank page,
Ultimately completed.

About this poem

This is another poem I found on my backup hard drive from my years in college. I'm not sure why I wrote it, I couldn't find any more information on it, but I hope you enjoy it!
