Running Out of Names

Running Out of Names

Heart wrenched
Hands clenched

Tight throat
Black cloak

Looking out
Window panes

Burning flames
Pitiful shame

Lost games
Gained fame

Lost friends
Chosen end

Dead end
There again

Run away
Don’t say

Forget those
Dark days

Hear the beat
Start to sway

Looking all around
You won’t be found

Hear them pound
Look at the glass above

Shaking from their might
Shaking from your fright

Hug a pillow close at night
You try to shut out the fights

Hide in the open light
Things aren’t right

Music blocks it all out
Numbs me through these bouts

I wouldn’t ever hear their shouts
When did I start to live for the clout?

When did fame become fake
When did I become someone different

Why does it scare me to let go
If you let go, will you fall out of your high tree

My mind it closes
Shuts down all browsers

Sorry I can’t function tonight
I can’t ever when it’s night

About this poem

I am seriously running out of names. I have over 310 pages of poems and it’s hard to find a name I haven’t used before O_O a poem about my coming mental breakdown that I’ve been trying to avoid and act like I’m okay so I can do well in school and life.
