Of war and Hopes

Of War and Hopes

Stars are shining, the earthly stars of Bogota,
bright and warm  above the green savanna
hanging close to touch, the night of cries
and woes defied with lasting rays of hope.

Far Up North, my other home, kept awake
crossing lands of tortuous routes of war,
in the fateful dawn  of  joyous  Thanks to Life,
meets its pilgrim’s journey, dining hopes.

It is a world of riddles, by seismic seas
surrounded, in the darkest region faces
hell beyond the mind, beastly brains
abound, insolvable abysses, death upon
the routes of hellish herbs, rivers black of hate,
run in beds of greed  and bloody sands,

Peace! claims mankind, only stars
hanging from our soul desire,
away from crazy deeds, courses dream
of joy, in pray, we wait for days of sanity.

About this poem

in pray, we wait for days of sanity.
