Thunderstorm

Mayuri 2002 (Kannur)

Feeling the same warmth
When i hugged around your tummy.
Keeping my head closest to your loose skin.
When the heat of your funeral fire hits me.
Penetrating deep to my heart.
Regrets of not being withyou.
Creating the biggest void and wound within.

When my root started searching.
You poured water to it.
Let it free and self.
When those same roots got firm and tight.
You never got its bridge back.
When indignation drove my infancy.
Anger and pique of not being wanted.
Of them leaving me with you for their dreams.

I was blind for the love and care you showered.
Feets bereaved and orphaned.
You would have felt the same gor years.
Time went past leaving memmories behind.

Nothing more to do than grieve.
Your heart can bless never curse
Viewing flowers blooming for you.
As the doors of heaven opens wide.
Which will never for me.

Its a poem about loss, when your dear one's goes away , you get the reality check that you haven't treated them the way they deserved. Death becomes the factor of realozation and regret.
