Bend
!
Bend harder
.
No thinking
!
Do what we say
.

Don’t reason
.
Especially don’t feel
.
Shut it off!

Push it down
.
Way down
.
Further
!
Now be happy about it
.

We know better
.
You don’t.

Jump
!

Jump higher!!
Don’t question.

Ask how high
.

Higher still
!
Not good enough!


Let it go
.
Even the memories.

We take 
blood…

Now be happy about it

Lifeless, lonely, desperate,

It’s good

I was once part of a cult-ish religion and was judged by a council. This poem is how that event felt to me.
